Schlie-Reed heeft het onder meer over\u00a0de achterliggende doelstellingen van het gebruik van technologie in het onderwijs.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cTechnology is about creating more engagement for students, providing choice (&#8230;) Once they learn the tool, they decide how they\u2019re going to use it. They all have the same goal, but they decide how they\u2019re going to get there.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Het meest interessante deel van het artikel handelt over de\u00a0<em>instructional videos<\/em> die Schlie-Reed maakt. Ze gebruikt YouTube om leerkrachten te tonen hoe een tool precies werkt in plaats van er gewoon over te vertellen. In de video&#8217;s laat ze ook leerlingen aan het woord over wat ze geleerd hebben. Met de filmpjes kan ze leerkrachten makkelijker overtuigen, vindt ze.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWhen I come in to a school, I\u2019m the computer lady (&#8230;) I have to earn buy-in so I document and showcase what we have done with other teachers involving digital tools (&#8230;) We\u2019re not just here to do a math learning program.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Je vindt alle filmpjes\u00a0op het <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UC3ac-YlmqPg4QGXgwlyU4XA\" target=\"_blank\">YouTube-kanaal<\/a> van Schlie-Reed.<\/p>\n<p>Op het einde van het artikel worden nog enkele praktijkvoorbeelden voorgesteld, en gaat het ook over de aanpak van de digital learning coach.
