Dat VR echter niet iets gloednieuws is, daar probeert een <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vrs.org.uk\/virtual-reality\/history.html?utm_content=buffer7803f&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_source=twitter.com&amp;utm_campaign=buffer?\" target=\"_blank\">artikel<\/a>\u00a0op de website van de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vrs.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">VRS<\/a> (Virtual Reality Society) ons van te overtuigen.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>De tekst geeft een mooi historisch overzicht van VR, en dat begint niet in de eenentwintigste eeuw, maar met de panoramische schilderijen van de negentiende eeuw. De ruime definitie voor VR gehanteerd wordt, is namelijk de volgende: &#8220;a means of creating the illusion that we are present somewhere we are not&#8221;.
